Did you know that dehydration is the biggest killer in tortoises rather than not eating?

Gritty urates? I advise bathing twise a day until they return to a tooth paste texture.

Take the brush and gently clean the shell, legs, tail and head.

DO NOT USE any oils, soap etc only use water.

How to bath a tortoise:

Bathing is VERY important, it helps keep your tortoise hydrated. No matter what tortoise you keep you should always soak your tortoise. In the wild a tortoise has different ways of keeping themselves hydrate eg long burrows where humidity is high.

Your tortoise does not have to 'drink' while soaking. Tortoises are able to take in water through there cloaca (tail)

I bath my hatchling every day and adults twise a week to avoid bladder stones.

Water should be luke warm and just so it covers the bottom part of its shell for 10-20 mins

Remove any dirt with this very soft brush.
