WARNING HIGH UVB

The Bright Sun UV SPOT was developed for applications where a high light and UV performance is necessary. It will achieve sufficient UV and light performance at distances of 100 cm and more. Compared to mercury vapour based UV spot lamps the lighting sphere is significantly larger, giving animals a bigger basking area.
A minimum distance of 50 cm to the animal is recommened. At this distance over 100.000 lux and approx. 250 Microwatts/cm2 are achieved. This corresponds to the natural conditions on a summer day in Central Europe.
At shorter distances the UV output is significantly higher than that of the sun. Since the terrarium is a limited habitat we can only warn from exposing the animals higher UV radition than in nature as UV is potentially dangerous.
