Rare WELSH Poppy Seeds
Not all poppys are edible to tortoises, welsh poppys are!!
These took me a while to get hold of so i only have a small number available
Approx 50 seeds per pack, seeds are tiny. But please do not be put off once grown these are wonderfull flowers.
Distribution: Native of Welsh uplands and South West England originally, but has long been cultivated in gardens from where it has escaped and grows wild in many places across Britain.
Habitat: It prefers damp, woodlands, rocky and shady places.
Description: Native perennial of medium height with bright yellow flowers from June to August. It readily self seeds.
Sowing Instructions for Seeds: Ideally, sow in the autumn in trays kept outdoors so that the seeds are naturally stratified (periods of alternating warmth and cold). At other times, sow and keep at around 22°C for 1-2 months. Cool for 1-2 months (around 0°C) in a fridge. Then warmer (around 10°C) for about a month. It may be necessary to repeat this process if using the fridge method. Germination is inhibited by temperatures above 20°C.
