Step by Step instructions on how to grow your seed in WINTER

Here at Shelled Warriors we do grow our own food for all our tortoises.

All our seeds are 100% organic and untreated

How to grow indoors

Equipment:

Propergator, seed tray or bottom of take away tub

Limestone Flour - optional

Poor soil: soil with no chemical added

Seeds

Instructions:

Get your seed tray, propergator or tub in front of you

Place a thin layer of soil, then a thin layer of limestone, then soil etc etc in your tub, until you have 3/4 filled your tub.

Once 3/4 full sprinkle your seeds in, then cover with a thin layer of soil

Adding limestone is not essential, but as your plants grow they will take in the limetone flour producing calcium rich plants.

Make sure you place your seeds in a sunny position.

If your house is very cold your seeds will not grow, aditional heating may be required like a heated propagator ( you can get these on ebay) or place your seeds under a heat bulb

I grow my seeds in temps of about 15-20c

MOST IMPORTANT- do not over water!!! most of the seeds i sell are weeds and thrive on neglect as they do outside!!

I water mine once maybe twise a week, if they are looking a bit limp i will water them. Do not drown them, you are aiming for moist soil.
