A very versatile herb that will grow almost anywhere. From pots and containers to inbetween paving slabs or even in walls!. It culinary uses include stews and stuffings. Cultivation Sow the seeds thinly on the surface of a good quality seed compost from Feb - April Cover the seed thinly with compost / vermiculite and keep moist. The pot or tray should then be placed inside a propagator or polythene bag at a temp of approx 13 - 18 DegC. . DO NOT EXCLUDE LIGHT. Once the plants are large enough to handle transplant them into 3" pots and gradually acclimatise them to outside conditions. Thyme shows good tolerance to drought conditions so can be planted in many unusual places. It will form clumps of beautiful green foliage and looks stunning when planted between pavings.
